Anglican bishop carpets Imo politicians for bad roads



The Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Ikeduru, Bishop Emmanuel Maduike has beaten down politicians of Ikeduru origin for poor road conditions in the Ikeduru local government area in Imo state.

The prelate who spoke at a church service in Iho on Sunday wondered why the roads of the local government in Ikeduru are not in good condition.

He wondered why a local government with political heavyweights should be so poor in road infrastructure.

The bishop challenged politicians in the region to attract the dividends of democracy to the region by ensuring that the roads in the region are built.

The Anglican bishop commended the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for the quality of the roads his administration is building in the state.

He said this clearly demonstrates the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people.

The respected clergy, while congratulating the governor on the achievement, noted that the infrastructure will go a long way in improving the lives of the people of lmo state, both residents and visitors.

He urged the governor to maintain the momentum and accelerate the pace of good governance in the state.
