Martha Timoshenko Williams – Charleroi

0

Martha Timoshenko Williams returned home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on August 9, 2022. She was born on November 21, 1922 in Donora. She was the daughter of the late Xenia and the late Sergei Timoshenko. Martha was one of five daughters. Martha was a beautiful, kind and compassionate soul. It was no wonder William Williams fell in love with her and they got married soon after. They were married for 63 beautiful years until “Bill” passed away in 2004. Together, Bill and Martha had three children: Roger Williams (Lois) of Somerset, Pennsylvania, Cheryl Zippay (Edmond) of Fallowfield and William Williams ( Rose) of Fallow Field. Martha was a mother who loved her children fiercely and often told them how much she loved them. Martha loved being a mother and a matriarch, and she loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother even more. She was the grandmother of Jerrold Williams, Jason G. Zippay (Diana), Jeannette Landis (Steve), Marc Williams (Faithe) and Gary W. Zippay (Heather). Her grandchildren cherished their time with her. Martha often picked blackberries with the children, baked fresh pies and loved to cook. Her greatest joy was cooking delicious meals for her family. She also enjoyed sewing and decorating her home. Martha was also blessed with the birth of her five great-grandchildren, Victoria Zippay, Bailey Zippay, Aiden Zippay, Kara Landis and Tobias Zippay. Martha was very fond of seeing her great-grandchildren and she liked to tell them how beautiful and beautiful they were. Martha was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Williams; his parents, Xenia and Sergei; and her four sisters, Rose Ruev, Ann Rivas, Mary Paulick and Helen Malaski. Martha was always impeccably dressed, but her greatest asset was her infectious smile and laugh. In addition to her beauty, Martha had a selfless and loving heart. She has always loved animals (especially her dog, Sammy) and was an eternal empath. She felt such compassion for all of God’s creatures. Martha was a faithful follower of God and was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church. She was the very definition of “Christlike” in her actions and words. Martha was more than the words on this paper. She was the light that lit up a room. She was the hug and kiss that would heal your heart. She knew how to make our days better with a dance or a silly tune. Martha loved to laugh and enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Watching her flowers grow and blossom was her favorite summer pastime. Martha was ‘mom’, ‘gram’, ‘grandmother’ and ‘great-grandmother’ to us…and she left a piece of herself in all of us. Knowing her and being loved by her was the greatest blessing she could have left us. Special thanks to her caregivers (Sherri Vogel and Felicia Jesus), Mon Valley EMS drivers (Tom and Dave) and Wendy Monahan of Penn Highlands Mon Valley Mobile Lab. We thank you all for your compassionate care of our mother. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 and from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Avenue Fallowfield, Charleroi.
