Teachers ‘Day Foundation for World Teachers’ Day

As part of the activities to mark World Teachers’ Day, the Yield Africa Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) honored teachers from Rabiatu Thompson and St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, respectively.

Speaking in Lagos, during a courtesy visit to schools, the Executive Director of the Yield Africa Foundation, Ambassador Olatunde Martins congratulated the management of the Rabiatu Thompson Kindergarten and Primary School for their kind gesture towards the academic development of students.

He also said that Rabiatu Thompson is one of their adopted schools, adding that the school is part of their education project where they provide teaching materials and take care of the needs of some of these schools, ” our goal is the welfare of teachers “and students.

He revealed that the education project started last year and that they donated teaching materials to Rabiatu Primary School, which was the only school we cover.

According to him, “This year we are adopting St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Mafoluku, Oshodi and we are also planning to donate educational materials to them. The motive for the celebration is in line with World Teachers’ Day which takes place every October 5, to appreciate the leadership for their efforts and to appreciate them for the positive impacts they have had on the lives of teachers and teachers.

Martins revealed he was a former student of St Paul, adding that a colleague of theirs was bringing teaching materials from the United States of America and that it would be donated to St Paul’s Anglican Primary School.

“About 500 educational materials are packaged, which specifically include books, pencils, pencils and other necessary things,” he said.

Rabiatu Thompson Kindergarten and Primary School Principal Ms Amechi Chinedu confirmed that the children had received educational materials, which made their parents and teachers grateful.

She appreciated the presence of the Foundation which is a confirmation that the school is truly recognized and she made a promising statement saying: the school will be heard positively.
